Description

M2 never stops and it excels in all uses, a specific model intended for the Standard Division and 3 Gun competitions, fully developed and manufactured by Benelli.
The new model, named M2 SP (Speed Performance), is characterized by the wide tubular bolt handle, the larger bolt release button (red), the long fibre optics sight and the dedicated choke to be fast on the target.

Enhances grip and lets you shoulder the shotgun more quickly, safely, effectively and comfortably.

AirTouch technology guarantees a superior grip without roughness to the touch. The new AirTouch checkering makes full use of the advanced moulding characteristics of the special polymer used for the stocks and fore-ends to create a surface with superior grip. AirTouch technology is available on all ComforTech grips and fore-ends on Inertia System shotguns nd Argo rifles.

Reduces recoil by 47% for superbly comfortable shooting.

The Comfortech System is the first and only patent in the world ableto change the rules of shooting, revolutionising the relationship between the individual and the gun and establishing new balances between weights and sizes, performance and ergonomics. Through the use of advanced technological means, state-of-the art materials and sophisticated calculation programs, specialist engineers and technicians have designed and constructed an integrated system made up of stock, recoil pad and comb, equipped with a high deforming capability and able to absorb part of the recoil force when fired. Made in technopolymer, the stock and fore-end is distinguished by the presence on both sides of 11 boomerang-shaped slots designed to make the stock more flexible and to create an important barrier against recoil. Its geometry is designed to contain and absorb the firing impact before it reaches the shooter’s shoulder, offering comfort never experienced before. The grip and fore-end have the special Air Touch checkering, based on the aerodynamic shape of the small dimples that provide the hand with natural ventilation and allow a firm hold to be taken in any situation. The Comfort Touch treatment applied to the stock and fore-end, not only enhances the aesthetic appearance of the shotgun, but also makes it extremely pleasant to the touch. The recoil pad and comb have a special anatomic form that maximises contact with the shooter’s shoulder and cheek, increasing the surface area in contact and reducing the impact when the gun is fired.

Essential design, simple construction, easy maintenance and mechanical precision for maximum strength and reliability.

The cleverness of the Benelli System lies in the rigor of its design, constructional simplicity and ease of maintenance. There are three main components: the bolt, that acts as an inertial mass and slides freely along guides made in the sides of the receiver, the locking head and the large free spring, mounted on the bolt. Its operations is ingenious and efficient. While the bolt assembly moves into the firing position, the locking head pin movesalong a shaped guide inside the bolt to engage the locking head. When the trigger is pulled, all the components of the shotgun, with the exception of the bolt, move backwards. At the same time, the inertial spring is compressed between the head of the bolt and the body of the bolt itself. The cartridge drop lever rises to allowthe cartridge to move from the magazine to the firing chamber.Towards the end of the recoil cycle, the pressure inside the chamberreaches a safe level and the backward movement of the shotgun slows down. Then, the heavy inertial spring pushes the bolt assembly backwards, releasing the revolving head of the bolt and extracting the cartridge fired from the chamber, pushing it against the ejector. When the empty cartridge leaves the receiver, the energy developed by the moving bolt assembly rearms the hammer and compresses the recoil spring inside the stock. Following this, the recoil spring pushes the bolt assembly forwards, in this way raising the shell forwards into the correct position and putting a new cartridge into the chamber. The brevity and ease of these movements together with mechanical precision and constructional simplicity guarantee an operating cycle which will not alter or jam, offering maximum resistance and extreme reliability.
