Kel-Tec SU-16 Tactical Version .223 Semi Automatic Rifle #SU16TAC

The SU-16F is the Canadian version of the SU-16A2 and is a gas operated, semi-auto loading rifle chambered in .223 Remington. It is intended to be the perfect everyman's sport and utility rifle. The SU-16F delivers many unique and functional features. The chrome-lined bore and chamber deliver 1:9 rifling with a right hand twist. A Picatinny rail is molded right into the upper receiver for optional sight systems mounting. The stock is designed to store spare magazines.

The SU-16F has a conventional, long-stroke gas-piston operation and utilizes the proven Johnson/Stoner breech locking system. It is compatible with standard AR-15/M-16 magazines. The reciprocating bolt handle and magazine catch are on the right side, while the push bolt safety can be changed to work from either side. Except for barrel and operating components, the SU-16F is made entirely of high impact reinforced polymer. The removal of the rear takedown pin enables the SU-16F to be folded over itself to provide a smaller footprint for ease of storage and transport.

The SU-16 Tac builds on all the features that make the SU-16F so popular and turns it into a more conventional, AR-like platform. It comes with a pistol grip as well as an AR buffer tube and telescoping stock. A railed forend replaces the polymer handguard for attachments of foregrips and other accessories. A standard A2 bird cage flash hider comes installed, and the front post is made integral to the gas block.
