All Tikka rifles are engineered and manufactured by Sako, in Finland. We take pride in our products and deliver what we promise. Every Tikka rifle has to go through accuracy testing to prove the rifle can perform under 1 M.O.A accuracy prior to being sold anywhere. Tikka rifles are both innovative and durable, but most importantly, they can be relied on under any condition.

If you're looking for a true stalking or long distance tool, look no further.  A barrel and action made of stainless steel with a satin matte finish.

Twist Rate on .223 1:8 @ 600mm Barrel

Features

  • BARREL & ACTION
A barrel and action made of heat-treated stainless steel with a matte finish.
  • MODULAR STOCK
T3x has a new modular synthetic stock that has interchangeable pistol grips, making it possible to modify the angle of the grip. This allows for multiple shooting positions. Additional grips are sold separately.
The T3x synthetic stock also has an additional attachment point which allows you to change the width of the stock's fore-end.
  • IMPROVED GRIP
A grip that never slips. The T3x synthetic stock has a new asymmetrical grip pattern and shape that has been specifically designed to give a solid grip in all conditions.
  • NEW RECOIL PAD
T3x models come with a new recoil pad technology that reduces the impact of recoil on the shooter. The new robust pad allows you to fully concentrate on the accuracy of your shots.
  • STOCK NOISE REDUCTION
Be as silent as the forest. T3x synthetic stocks now have a foam insert within the interior of the rear stock. This lowers the stock-generated noise and can help you keep your target in sight. Not available for models with an adjustable cheek piece.
  • REDESIGNED EJECTION PORT
The new T3x receiver introduces a widened angular ejection port that makes it easier to feed one cartridge at a time.
  • IMPROVED RAIL ATTACHMENT
Always keep the target in your sight. The T3x models have extra screw placements on top of the receiver so that you can robustly attach a picatinny rail. This allows for secure mounting of optics even when using larger scopes.
  • METALLIC BOLT SHROUD
Robustness and quality go hand in hand. Metallic bolt shroud covers and shields the rear of the bolt body and the firing pin.
  • STEEL RECOIL LUG
This extra-strong lug has minimal deformation even with larger calibers. Compared to aluminium, the steel lug doesn't have strong imprinting qualities that would cause deformation when larger calibers are used.

Tikka T3X SS Varmint 243 cal

Posted by Emil Spitkoski on 2024 Mar 14th

Further to my previous post of Feb 1/24, I now have shot 220 rounds of various ammo manufactures in my Tikka 243 varmint rifle. Amazingly I had to go through 8 boxes of ammo before I shot 1 moa or less at 100 yards. The rifle didn't like Federal Power Shok 80 or 100 grain (1-3 moa) Remington High Performance Rifle 80 grn (1-2 moa). Hornady Precision Hunter 90 grn ELD-X (1-11/4 moa) Hornady Superformance Varmint 75 grn V-max (1-11/2moa). What it did like was Norma White Tail 100grn (3/8" moa consistently). It also liked the Aguila 100grn Boat Tail SP (3/4" moa, and Sako Game Head 100 grn Soft Point (1"moa). I was surprised it didn't like the Hornady as they are quite well reported on in articles I read. Just reinforces the old saying. Guns just like certain types of ammo. Hope this review helps someone. Tikka T3X SS Varmint 243 cal

Dealing with Al Flaherty was excellent. Ordered the firearm on line, about 2 weeks ago, and spoke with them over the phone a couple times. They were very pleasant/knowledgeable to deal with and well versed with the firearm I purchased. The firearm was well packaged and arrived when promised. The T3X SS Varmint is a beautiful well crafted firearm. Fit and finish is flawless. Would have given a 5 star but I haven't had a chance to shoot the gun. If it is a 5 shot sub MOA as they advertise for this rifle then it's a 5 star. Would strongly recommend dealing with Al Flaherty.

    My 2nd Tikka

Posted by Andreas on 2021 Aug 17th

I bought this Tikka back in April 2021. The shipping of my order was extremely fast. The rifle amazed me. The matte stainless finish is gorgeous and the barrel crown is nicely done. For some reasons, the bolt is even smoother than on my Tikka T3x Lite with a blued finish. The factory fixed cheek riser works with medium rings, 0 MOA M1913 rail and a 40mm objective. The vertical grip and the wide fore end are good extras. For the cons, I would say the factory magazine. They are totally overpriced. They are all plastic and they retail for $105!! The extended magazine provided can only fit 4 rounds of 300 Win Mag due to the cartridge's belt. As this is my first magnum rifle and as the rifle is still fairly light, the recoil took me a bit by surprise while shooting from the bench. I'll get the barrel threaded by a gunsmith at some point and I'll put a muzzle brake on.

Smooth as ice and a shooter

Posted by Wedge on 2020 Aug 13th

Wow, what a shooter! The action is as smooth as ice covered in butter. Had it out today and shooting cheap Winchester Super X 150gr or Hornady match 168's all printed 5 shot groups under an inch at 100yds. Al's had the best price in Canada when I bought my rifle. Love it!
